For fun, I put Pro-line Maxx paddles and Pro-line Maxx velocity rims on the E-MAXX 3905. It’s amazing how much difference they make in sand…. or snow!

My E-MAXX is NOT brushless, but I have twin KD 700 HO motors in it and I think you will agree after watching this video that they do pretty good for brushed motors … and they’re waterproof too.

Yes. You can run (2) 2S lipos for a total of 4S or 14.8v. However the stock ESC doesn’t have a lipo cutoff circuit, so you will have to install one or else you will ruin your lipo batteries when they get too low.

Thanks for the 5/5! You can jack up the suspension on the Erevo too, but yes I think the Emaxx has a bit of advantage in the snow. I run both in the snow and the Emaxx gets stuck less often.

I have been trying to decide on the E-Revo or E-Maxx for a while now. I have read most of your posts and I do plan on eventually getting both but would it be fair to say that the E-Maxx has an advantage in the snow because of the ground clearance? Winter running is a priority for me! Are the bulkheads really that weak or is this issue exaggerated? I read that an aluminum front skid all but eliminates the issue? Any experience?
