How is the angle the ball bounces off the paddle in Pong determined?

Is it based off of where it hits the paddle, the paddle’s speed, or both? How exactly do the location and the speed affect the ball?

it does actually. Hitting the paddle fast will surely to make the opponent make point but if you angle your paddle in a good direction it might have a chance. the speed is just like hitting it hard.

It is based on where it hits, and where it came from.
    Here’s a chart:
Where it hits: Where it came from: Where it goes:
    left, right, right slowly
    right, right, right quickly
    left, left, left quickly
    left, right, left slowly

If it hits it in the middle, it goes which ever direction it was going at a medium pace.
