How do you use paddle shifters?
Will anything in the car be damaged if not shift properly?
I would suggest reading youre owners maunal, but paddle shifters offer a way to shift up and down gears in an automatic car without the need for a clutch. Often you begin like you would driving normally and shift at 2000 rpm (or higher if you prefer) to control the car better. In most cars equipped with paddle shifters, if you exceed a certain revolution count (or are close to redline) the cars computer will reduce the amount of throttle or will compensate in another fashion to prevent damage. For the exact operation you should consult your manual.
Personally, I feel that paddle shifters offer little when it comes to the recreational aspect of driving. They offer a fun little escape for someone whom normally would drive a stick but drive an auto because a commute or gas mileage. Nothing beats having a clutch though.
