   There are many of them, most manufacturers seem to have at least one or two tandem models with cockpits. for examples, check manufacturers web sites such as http://www.wildernessystems.com and http://www.oldtowncanoe.com or go to http://www.paddling.net and check out their buyer’s guide.

   You can also search ebay for "tandem kayak" there’s often a few dozen to choose from.

   Tandems come in everything from rotomolded plastic recreational boats on up through kevlar racing shells. Sit on tops are merely an aberration, most tandems are traditional boats.
