Can anyone suggest a good technique to paddle straight in a kayak?

Take it slow and easy at first. Get a good rythm going.dont pull too hard on one side so figure out your stronger sside and lighten up.Put your fin/rudder on if you have one

Get a feel of the river. Paddle left wait, then right or what ever. You have to go from side to side in order to go straight. You just have to play around to find out how to go straight. It all depends on the conditions of the water.
