A noun is a person, place or thing. So, in this paragraph: paddles (NO apostrophe in the plural in English), competitors, ping-pong tournament, school, students, city, winner, trophy, gift certificate, entry forms, information.
Wednesday, March, Super Sports (a store?), Brentwood Shopping Plaza, Mr. Kyle Jones are all proper nouns.
A pronoun is he, she or it which I don’t see in your example.

In the past I have used my hand, plastic and wood hairbrushes, belts, empty soda bottles, a wooden spoon and spatula, an extension cord, the hard plastic of a vaccum cleaner tube, a clothes hangar,, a shoe, a slipper, a book and small paddles. What else can i use for spanking?

My children attend a catholic parochial school and I just found out one of my boys "forgot" to give me his last 2 write up slips.Three write ups equals one full letter grade mark down.He is 15 years old and thinks he is too good to be paddled in lieu of the write ups,but I told him if his grades should happen to drop.He will wish to God he had taken the wood.

He is almost too old for physical discipline, but he does need to understand there are consequences to actions. You need to figure what that is / are to be an effective teaching, guiding, and motivating tool in his life. {maybe your threat will do it, i don’t know.}

How can I varnish my new stairs so they won’t be slippery?

I have new stairs soon to be fitted. I would like to varnish them, but I don’t want them to be slippery. The stairs are space saver paddle stairs that go to the loft rooms so they cannot be carpeted.
Ideally I would like to see the wood which is in keeping with my hallway.

Consider using a low-gloss varnish – this will be less slick than high-gloss.

I have a wooden kayak in my garage that the previous owner left. I’d like to put it on craigslist or something, but have no idea whats it’s worth. Its all wood, about 14-15 feet long and has 2 seats. Seems to be in pretty good condition, also has 2 paddles. ANY help you could give would be appreciated, I know NOthing about Kayaks.

BF has a dobie which he paddles hard?

My BF has a one year old dobie that when he doesnt do as commanded gets hit with a hard wood fraternity paddle. I have discouraged my boyfriend from doing this as the dog knows when he has done something bad and begins scurring and crying before he is even touched. I can tell that the dog is fearful of people and other animals. Last week he let a five month old doberman continuously smell his butt and play with his male parts without trying to defend himself or claim his territory. He is not neutered and can be hyperactive but he is a good dog. What can I do????

I would like to think mostly everyone for their responses. I will make a decision as to what I need to do. I would like to address the comments that were presumptive. Firstly my boyfriend and I don’t live together. Secondly im not a card carrying member of PETA. I grew up and still live in the heart of the city. Never once did i own an animal, study them (besides when I was dissecting them), or watch anything on tv related to them unless it was Clifford, My Little Pony, or the Bernstein Bears. With that being said dont assume everyone shares even a basic knowledge of proper methods used to discipline an animal. I know a paddle is harsh but in the past I thought a swat with a newspaper on the butt was perfectly fine.

If not trolling, first report him for physical abuse and second find a new BF who’s not a freak.
