I play a lot of MW3 on the Xbox 360 and decided to get a Scuf Gaming Controller. They have the two paddles on the back that you can customize to any button, what would you recommend me make them to be the best at COD? I currently play on the tactical layout to drop shot but and was going to make one B to knife but maybe it would be easier to make it normal layout and use a paddle to drop shot. Any suggestions?

Switch it to default. takes a little while to adjust but better in the long run

Hi, it depends if you want to play with blade paddles or rubber paddles. For blade paddles I would suggest Butterfly Primorac and for rubber paddles the Yasaka Mark V works pretty well. Hope this helps!

I’m a competitive swimmer, but sort of a novice. My faces would ideally be the 100m/yd breast and free, and the 200 m/yd IM. Would it be worth it to build my forearms and ruin my streamline a little at the cost of a larger catch? Thanks!

The muscles of your forearms are for your fingers … for proof, wrap one hand over the bulging area of your forearm near your elbow. Lightly squeeze your forearm with your hand and wiggle the fingers of the arm you’re holding.

So, the point is that in order to be a good swimmer, you must be able to hold your wrist, hand and fingers flat and those forearm muscles must be strong.

But, I don’t know where you (or anyone else) got the idea that having large/strong forearms would affect your streamline but, that does not happen … not one bit.

So, lift weights to make your forearms strong. A great lift to do is to take a dowel (cylindrical piece of wood) that is about 3-4 cm in diameter. Drill a hole through it in the middle between the ends. The hole should be large enough to thread a piece of rope that is about 2.5 to 3 feet long.

Tie a 5 to 10 pound (2 to 4 or 4.5 kg) weight on the other end of the rope. Now, with your fingers going over the top of the dowel (you can buy one at any home improvement store or most hardware stores) roll the dowel so the rope rolls up. Then, after letting the weight down, turn your palms upward and roll the weight up again.

This is a KILLER exercise and will develop your forearms. We used to call our arms "Popeye" arms … you’ll see and feel why. (If you don’t know who Popeye is, look up "Popeye the Sailor Man" on google and when you find a cartoon, look at his forearms).

Do swimming paddles make you stronger?

First … Excellent question. The answer to your question is YES and NO.

When coaches first discovered the use of paddles in the 1970s, coaches thought the answer to your question was an absolute YES. They had swimmers doing 10 to 15,000 yards per day with paddles. Then, reality set in as the stress placed on swimmers’ shoulders for that AMOUNT of swimming caused repetition injuries and swimmers were out of the pool from the injuries for a month or two recovering from the strain of the paddles.

However, if paddles are used properly, they can help you to develop swimming strength.

First, use the paddle for low speed drills including sculling drills. I also have my swimmers work on stroke skills with paddles. However, the paddles are used as follows: We use flat paddles and use ONLY the single finger strap for the middle finger and DO NOT use the wrist strap. ALL fingers, including thumb and little finger, are kept flat on the paddle. You do NOT hold the outer edge of the paddle by wrapping your thumb and little finger around the side.

The purpose of using the paddle in the fashion I described is that you can tell if your stroke is proper because if the paddle stays flat on the palm of your hand, your stroke is correct. If the paddle pulls away from your hand then you are dropping your elbows and pulling with your elbow which pulls the paddle off your palm.

Paddles, used in the same fashion as I just described, should be used while doing sculling drills.

Then, a few days per week, paddles should be used on short sprints. Using them on short sprints will cause you to gain strength for your stroke.

like how a manual car has the stick beside the knees u use to shift, can tiptronics have that instead of the paddles behind the steering wheel? or is there another type of tranmission like that, without a clutch? PLZ HELP.

On a typical tiptronic you can have a stick, paddles, or both. But the stick actually works as a switch, not as a real (mechanical) stick.

What you are talking about was the automated clutch. I think they put it as an experiment (made by Valeo) on an old Lancia Delta. They also put it in some production cars (I had a Mercedes A-Klasse with this type of transmission).

It works basically like and automated shift (automated, like an F430, not automatic), but has actuators just on the clutch; while a full automated shift has actuators on the gearbox too.

So you put the 1st gear (with a manual shift grid stick) and press the gas, then release the gas, shift, press the gas, and so on. To downshift: you release the gas, press the brake, then go on downshifting without releasing the brake. No clutch pedal.

It was funny, but a total commercial failure.

The vet said he has reservations about her athletic potential. Is he just protecting his self?

I think he’s being honest – he has nothing to gain or lose by lying about something like this. If she’s paddling badly enough, then really, a speed sport is not a good idea, due to potential (inevitable, really) damage from from the torsion of the carpus ("knee") joints. Barrel racing is already one of the toughest sports on a horse’s joints, all things being normal and the legs correct and straight. From what you’ve said here, I’d suggest you find a different career for this mare and look for a horse who has a conformation that will be more appropriate for a strenuous speed event such as barrel racing. It really would be very unfair to your horse to run her on barrels.
