Paddles

Unless you are trying to keep in with the looks of a timbre boat I would suggest going and buying a paddle because they are not very expensive, decent timbre to make a paddle out of does not come cheap. Fiberglass also could be used but it is not easy to work with.

I’m building a paddle wheeler from 1890 and I would like a helmsmen ect. to put on it.

The figurines at this site are wearing 1880s-1890s period-correct attire. Perhaps they can be adapted for your paddlewheeler.

How long would it take me to paddle a boat with one oar from Vancouver BC to Los Angeles California?

Honey you would die before you got to LA.. Good luck on trying.. Might be better if you would start somewhere in the middle of Canada and go down the Mississippi..I reckon you got your passport on hand..
